Introduction

Welcome to the Computer Science program at Texas Wesleyan University. The program offers four-year B.S. degree in Computer Science and certificates in Computer Information Systems (CIS). As a computer science major, you'll learn how to apply higher-level thinking to solve complex problems with new computing technology. With a degree in computer science, you're ready to invent, apply new theories, develop software products and more.

Computer Science is the study of computers and computing systems. Principal areas of study within Computer Science include artificial intelligence, computer systems and networks, security, database systems, human computer interaction, vision and graphics, numerical analysis, programming languages, software engineering, bioinformatics, theory of computing, and more.
